Laptop repairs, broken screens, port repairs

Something for the weekend

We so often hear people are not happy with their battery life on their laptop but 80% of our customers do not treat their battery in the right way to give out its full potential.

Even from new, just months after using the laptop, the battery gets weak and can’t fully discharge. This applies to laptops in constant use and ones used every so often.   When is it time to calibrate?

·         When the battery status display seems inaccurate to you
·         When you observe a significant change in normal battery run time.
·         When the battery pack has not been used for one month or more.

All you have to do to recalibrate it is to fully charge on the mains, remove the power cable, run it until is shuts down and then you recharge it fully again. Simple! You can either do this the slow way by disabling the hibernation temporarily to allow it to run constantly or the quick way would be to run a long DVD or CD as these use more power and because they are running, your laptop should not go into standby.

Once you have recharged your laptop, you should see a significant difference. If you are not and your battery is 2+ years old, you might need to invest in a new one.
