On the downside, I am a little unhappy that the screen has been replaced with a gloss screen, rather than the matt it was previously. I can understand this if there was no other option available, but if there had been a choice for the options to be discussed with me, even if it had worked out more expensive. The lap top was collected the next day. The engineer rang me once the fault was identified and discussed the repair options. "Just briefly I thought your service was first class. A. because I was kept informed and remained clear about the service and process. B. the service was prompt you picked up when you said you would and delivered when you said you would. C. the service was convenient and prompt. D. when my lap top had been diagnosed I received a call to explain by the person who was in charge of the repair, he spent time talking me through the problems and answered other non related queries I had. E. when I received my laptop back it had been packaged securely and safely so as to incur no damage. In addition it has been returned to me not only fixed but looking like new.

I have to say I was extremely impressed with the level of communication and service, the texts at every stage were reassuring and let me know where my laptop was and at what stage things were proceeding. The personal call from the engineer who was repairing/quoting is a nice touch, the cost of repair in my case was very resonable and the prompt repair and return of unit, down to the text to let me know my laptop had been signed for all very professional. I googled laptop repairs and read the testimonials you have on your site, its most unusual to find so many glowing reports, which made me decide to call. I would have absolutley no problem whatsoever in recomending you based on my experience, if fact I have already done so. "Thanks for your email, it's rare that I'll give feedback unless my experience was extremely good or extremely bad - in this case you'll be pleased to know it's the former. In my line of business it's always great to hear what our clients think of us, so it's only fair that I reciprocate!
As an overall experience I was very impressed, I appreciated your engineers expertise and candor which are extremely important to me as a consumer seeking advice. There was no inherent sales pitch, the advice given was clear with all of the options laid out in front of me. Communication throughout was good too via phone/text/email - Sadly my laptops Hard Drive was irrecoverable, but this wasn't unexpected. Price wise £29.95 was reasonable for pick up and collect, and the collect/delivery were very punctual. If you were looking to add a little more value here I would clean the laptop too, just as a car servicing will always clean your car before returning it to you, this would have certainly enhanced my experience, but it is a minor improvement. Cost of replacement hard drive was actually lower than I would have expected, so no complaints there either.
As forewarned by your engineer, calling Sony to get my recovery disks for my PC does make me appreciate the value of decent customer service, sadly they fail on every front! "I sent my laptop to a company in Hammersmith London to have a new keyboard fitted, I was given a price Of £95 and a return date of five working days. After seven working days I contacted the company to find out how I was to pay them and to ask when I would get my machine back. I was given an E-Mail address that Pay Pal would accept ,the price had now gone to £125 as they said the replacement was more expensive than they had thought. Trying to pay through Pay Pal was rejected, another call and a different address was given, this was the same as the first attempt,also rejected.
By now I realised that I was dealing with Cowboys. Having told them that if my machine was not returned I would contact the Police. I then had an abusive phone call from the owner and was told that my laptop would be returned by Royal Mail, It came three days later by City Link. The money I sent by bank transfer has not as yet been returned.
I went on to Google and found you. I brought my Laptop to you on a Wednesday, was given a price of approx £95 and had a call on the following Friday to say it was ready and the price was £93.
